Nicotine Patches
Nicotine Patches are used by smokers as a tool to help them give up smoking.

The patch is applied to the skin, usually the upper arms or shoulders, and helps the smoker by delivering a continuous, controlled dose of nicotine into the body to help relieve cravings and withdrawal symptoms.

Patches usually come in three strengths are users are advised to taper down the three dosages over a number of weeks.

For a person who smokes more than 10 cigarettes each day, an example of patch usage would be;

Patch 1 ?" 8 Weeks usage
Patch 2 ?" 2 Weeks usage
Patch 3 ?" 2 Weeks usage

As with all medicine, it is important to read and understand the instructions and advice given by the manufacturer of the product you are using.
