Mounted on its own wrist cuff which inflates and deflates automatically, the Beurer BC44 Blood Pressure Monitor is incredibly accurate and converts your reading in to a colour-coded WHO (World Health Organisation) Classification of Optimal; Normal; High Normal; Mild Hypertension; Moderate Hypertension; or Severe Hypertension. Before the intelligent Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor commences measurement, the large LCD screen will display your previous measurement, making it easy for you to compare and monitor your results. The clear, easy to read LCD screen is also displays other information you need to know, at a glance, including your pulse rate, systolic pressure (maximum pressure in the arteries when the heart contracts), diastolic pressure (minimum pressure in the arteries between heart contractions), and your WHO classification. The Beurer BC44 also has an irregular heart beat indicator, should one be detected, turning this device into your own personal heart rate monitor. Should this indicator appear frequently, it should be taken as a recommendation to visit your GP. This high quality Blood Pressure Monitor from Beurer is great value for money and so simple to use. So whether your GP has recommended you keep a check on your blood pressure at home, or you’re the ‘sporty type’ wanting to monitor your fitness level this is great for you. Your Beurer BC44 Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor comes with a full instruction manual containing an easy-to-follow diagnostic table to help you accurately assess your results, a neat storage case, self inflating and deflating wrist cuff and your required batteries. If you suffer with frequent headaches, nosebleeds, vertigo (dizziness), and tinnitus (constant ringing of the ears) please be aware that these can be signs of high blood pressure, but the only sure-fire way to know is to get it checked. A normal reading is 120/80, with a reading of 140/90 considered to be mild hypertension. Anything over that would be considered clinical hypertension. You can easily check your blood pressure at home. While optimal adult BP has to be about 120/80, if the top (systolic) pressure is over 135 or the bottom (diastolic) is over 100, you should see your doctor.
