Cross Trainer

A cross trainer is a stationary exercise machine used to simulate walking or running. It offers a low impact workout which means it doesn’t cause excessive pressure to the joints.

Cross trainers are ideal for cardiovascular workouts which involve both the upper and lower body. This type of all over workout burns calories more effectively than exercising arms and legs only, making cross trainers an ideal way to lose weight.

The range of movement builds flexibility, and a few sessions a week on a cross trainer will also improve your general aerobic fitness.

Week 1 - The Diet

Sorry for the delay in this second post about my diet. I am still learning how to do the video and upload it to YouTube, and what probably takes somebody 5 minutes has taken me five DAYS!

Anyway, I wanted to join a diet plan that would give me a menu all worked out, yet be flexible enough to swap meals or ingredients so that I enjoy it. In the end I chose Tesco EDiets. I shall write another post just on their diet plan, including what I like, what I don't like about it and also what and how to do things within their interactive plan.

I actually started my diet on Sunday 17th and weighed myself on the following Tuesday. I couldn't believe that I had already lost 2lb !!!

I'm really surprised that I'm actually finding this diet easy. The fact that Ian, my hubby, is also doing it helps a lot. I've liked the food and have not been over hungry either.

Multi Vitamins

Supplementing your diet with multivitamins is an excellent way to ensure your body is receiving its required vitamins and minerals, especially for those with dietary imbalances or different nutritional needs.

They are supplied in tablet form and generally are only required to be taken once per day.

Care should be taken if any underlying medical conditions exist and pregnant women should consult their doctor before taking and vitamins or supplements.

For normal adults taking a multivitamin for general health purposes, it is recommended that a multivitamin should contain 100% DRI/RDA.
